I must admit I wasn’t blown away by the first book and so I was hesitant to pick up this one, but I’m so glad i did!!!!!!!!!
I had thought the events would be predictable throughout the whole book (as they kinda were at the beginning) BUT BOY WAS I PROVED WRONG AT THE END ! The whole revelation thing about the whole herran situation and the kestrel situation (I’m trying so bad not to give anything away lmao) had me on the edge of my seat and I certainly didn’t see most of that coming (like no spoilers but I was shook……… to my core)
The characters were a lot easier to connect with in this book and I’m so glad!! I loved arin and kestrel more than ever, and found myself with a soft spot for verex and also that dog (like fr will that dog make an appearance in the last book i sure do hope so man What A Character). The only thing i had a problem with was imagining all valorians with blond hair like…. i just kept forgetting and imagined most far different until i was reminded oooops.
But overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the last in the trilogy as it seems reaaaal promising (I must admit I started the last book before even writing this review wow how eager am i).
I will have to add this book to my tbr list. Awesome review by the way! I really enjoyed reading it! ♡
