Mid- May Book Haul!

Already this month I’ve accumulated a whole range of books that I’m super excited to read! Since I’m a key worker I’m still working during lock down, so unfortunately I haven’t been able to read as much as I would’ve liked to. However, this has not stopped me from collecting all of the books I want to read, as you will see in the haul below!

Physical Books

This month’s books are a mixture of YA and classics, all of which I’m super excited to read! Classics include The Grapes of Wrath, The Bell Jar, Maurice, The Complete Grimm Tales, and Things Fall Apart.

I also ordered lots of YA and adult books this month which I hope I’ll have time to read soon! These include The Midnight Lie, And I Darken, This Is How You Lose The Time War, Uprooted, We Set The Dark On Fire, A Little Life, Priory of the Orange Tree, and Sorcery of Thorns!

I also ordered some ebooks this month, which I am thoroughly enjoying! These include Red, White and Royal Blue and The Catcher in the Rye.

I am super excited to read all of these, and would love to hear which books you are currently reading/ hoping to read soon, and whether we have any in common!

      1. It’s so much fun! 🙂 Pure escapism! And — if you’re an Avatar Airbender fan — there’s a nod to the cabbage vendor!

            1. Fable by Adrienne Young. It doesnt come out til September and it’s on edelweiss. I cant even explain how good this book is. Like this is the kind of book that reminds me why I love to read. I mean idk if I’ve just been reading mediocre books lately but damn this book! I dont want it to end and I’m getting closer to the end and I just want it to keep going for like at least 200 more pages😭😭😭

            2. I’ll be sure to check it out and buy it when it’s released!! There’s nothing I love more than finding a book that reminds me of why I love to read! I feel you on not wanting it to end– I always feel that way when I love a book haha, I hope you enjoy the rest of the book! 😊

            3. Vengeful by V.E. Schwab was brilliant so I gave that 5 stars last week, and i finished reading The Great Gatsby like 5 minutes ago and just gave that one 5 stars too!!

            4. The pacing of the first one was relatively fast, but the pacing of the second was completely off for me (though plenty of other people loved it so i think it’s a me problem lol)
